Prayer for This Week

Hi all,
It was an incredible couple of weeks away preaching. God is still on the move, working in the hearts of people as they hear the truth about Jesus. But I have to admit that it is so good to be home.

Here's how you can be praying for me this week.

I will be starting a new two-week series this Wednesday night at FLOOD titled, "Love God. Love Others." We are taking two weeks to look at the greatest commandment in all of the Bible. I am so excited for this series. Please be praying for me as I pray through, prep, and preach this Wednesday night.

Thank you so much.

Holy Spirit: Fall On Them Like A Snuggie

Last night I preached about the cross of Christ, presenting the gospel for the 180 or so high school students here at Mt. Hermon. When I finished the message, the students were sent out to a 30 minute time of silence and solitude. From there they came together at the outside amphitheater for acoustic worship.

As the students came in, there was something different "in the air." Worship began and what happened left me speechless. I can't even describe what happened. My best attempt: the Holy Spirit "came into that place" in a way that I can't ever remember experiencing. The worship was pure. Hands raise. Tears shed. Grateful hearts for what Christ did for us on the cross. Hugs and encouragement. Prayer as a family.

As I worshipped and watched what was going on, I saw in my mind's eye a blanket falling over all of the people there worshipping. It pumped me up. So then I prayed this, "Holy Spirit, fall in this place like a Snuggie for each person here. May each person experience you personally."

And I believe he did. I am still speechless. I am looking forward to what happens next.

Prayer for this Week...

I wanted to thank you for praying for me this past week while I was in New England partnering up with Hume Lake. It was an incredible week of ministry. We saw at least 26 students stand up to make some type of decision for Christ, 10 of those being first time commitments to him. It blew me away to see so many people stand up for Jesus.

Here's how you can be praying for me this week:

I am at Mt. Hermon this week speaking to about 180 high school students. This camp does an absolutely incredible job. The theme for the week is "EPIC" - The fact that Jesus is so epic that he is worth leaving all else behind. Please pray for me as I prep, pray through, and preach each message. I will be preaching every night, Monday through Friday.

Thank you so much for praying. Lives are being changed and eternity is being impacted.

Jesus Still Changes Lives

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." — 2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV

Tonight I'm in Monterey, Massachusetts, watching a young man who surrendered to Christ last night play Gaga Ball while wearing a Hume Lake shirt tonight. Why is this so important? Because he told me earlier today that he has been using drugs since the age of 13. For five years he has been using drugs, not interested in Christ. Tonight, I watched him with hands raised in worship to Jesus during chapel, and now he's playing Gaga Ball wearing a Hume Lake shirt.

I'm just blown away with what Jesus can do with a life when that life is surrendered to him.

Jesus still changes lives. It never gets old seeing him do what he does best.

Prayer for this week

Hi there,
Here's how you can be praying for me this week:

1).  This Wednesday night at FLOOD we are closing up our "REPLAY" series. We have seen people surrender to Christ through this series each week. Tomorrow night we are hoping for the same thing, along with people getting baptized (at least three are already on the list to get baptized). Please pray for me as I pray through, prep, and preach the final message for this series. I'm so excited about the passage. I just want to make sure that the passage that I'm studying and so passionate about is the passage that Jesus is passionate about me preaching.

Thank you, so much for praying.

Prayer for this Week...

Here's how you can be praying for me this week:

1. This Sunday morning at 9:45, I get the opportunity to teach the high school students of PFB Church. I always love the time that I get to hang with those students.

2. This Sunday afternoon I have the honor and privilege of performing the wedding ceremony for Brandon Burroughs and Sallie Hallum. This is such a dear and amazing couple. The fact that I get to perform their ceremony is a privilege that goes beyond words.

Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for me.
