I am so excited to share this. Last night at FLOOD we took a week off from James to look at the topic of fasting, as the leadership at PFB challenges the people of PFB with this spiritual discipline. At the end of the message, I asked people to surrender to Jesus. I have to be honest: I didn't quite expect to see anyone stand to surrender to Christ after a message on fasting. But it happened. A young lady named Kimberly stood up and surrendered to Christ. She then told me that she wanted to get baptized (she told me and every other person that was there for worship).
God is amazing. Thank you for praying. Keep it up.

Praise God for baby kimmie, which is how I've known her since she was, I dunno, five?
ReplyDeleteHer older sis and lizzie played soccer together for years and our families were really close.
The last time I saw her was when she was about 8. I ran into her again at FLOOD a month ago, and I assumed she was a Christian.
Then she came to Winter Camp just a couple weeks ago and we got to be in the same cabin, with melody and some other crazies. Ha.
For her to stand up last night and proclaim so boldly and so confidently was beautiful for me to see, and I went over and prayed with her and thanked God for her surrender and that He would bless her w/encouragers and loved ones who push her on to know Jesus more.
So so stoked. :)
